RMS ii, no. 1675, p. 353 (Edinburgh, 15 June 1487), confirming a charter of William Charteris of Cagnor, knight, to his son and heir apparent Thomas Charteris, dated at Ethe, 13 July 1470: “terras de Kynfawnis, et Pitsindy, in dominio de Kynfawnis, vic. Perth”.
RMS vi, no. 2040, p. 742 (Edinburgh, 25 February 1608), a new grant to Sir John Lindsay, knight of the Bath, and Jean Abernethy: “terras, baroniam et dominium de Kynfawneis et Petsindie, cum castro, manerie, molendinis, silvis, piscariis, tenentibus &c., advocatione ecclesiarum, beneficiorum et capellaniarum, vic. de Perth”.
