Great Seal charter dated 6 Jul 1672, ratified RPS 1672/6/143: new erection in free barony called the Barony of Bannockburn. Earlier Great Seal confirmation of Skeoch alias Bannockburn: RMS 1546–1580, p. 385, no. 1630 (29 May 1565), but not yet a barony erection.
